FAQs

How much tax and National Insurance have I paid this tax year?

This is shown on your pay advice slips. At the bottom right hand side, you’ll see running totals of the tax and National Insurance (NI) contributions you’ve paid so far in this tax year (which started on 6th April). Look for the letters ‘YTD’ which stands for ‘year to date’.

You will also see your total gross pay for the year to date.

If you receive a tax rebate at any point, an updated YTD tax figure will be shown on your next pay advice slip.

At the end of each tax year, we’ll send you a P60. It shows your gross salary and the total amount of tax and National Insurance (NI) you paid in the last tax year. The figures on your P60 will match the YTD figures on your last pay advice slip of the tax year.
