What is a dual purpose expense?
A dual purpose expense is an expense which has both a business and a non-business purpose. This means they cannot be claimed as expenses since they are not wholly for use in the performance of your duties.
Items of clothing (aside from protective wear) is a good example of a dual purpose expense, since they can have a private use as well as a professional use.
