Will I be able to keep the ‘expense balance’ I’ve built up from previous claims?
No, unfortunately not. The new legislation means that tax relief can’t be given on expenses from 6th April onwards. If you have an expense balance, it means that tax relief hasn’t yet been given on these expenses even though you submitted your claim before the law changed.
